The first lesson is free. The Chief Instructor has over 25 years teaching experience, we follow the traditional Shotokan Karate syllabus, our lessons are packed full of the basics, Kata and sparring. We also include plenty of self-defense principles.
We have both male and female instructors. All of our instructors are fully insured and have enhanced CRB/DBS checks; we have two Child Protection Officers who have completed the relevant training courses. We are also associated with the English Karate Federation and adhere to their policies and guidelines.
Please note that success in karate is not determined by your physical ability, gender or age. Karate will improve physical wellbeing, but more importantly it will help develop a positive mental attitude. Classes are designed to make sure that students work at a level that is comfortable, yet challenging, combining cardiovascular endurance, strength training and flexibility exercises.
