The TISKA Wootton Shotokan Karate Club was established in 2002. The resident Sensei is 5th dan Mr N Sehmbi.
Shotokan Karate is an excellent form of self defence and a great way of keeping fit and improving confidence.
Learn to defend yourself by focusing on the three main areas of Shotokan Karate: KIHON (Basics), KUMITE (Sparing) and KATA (Forms) in a controlled and disciplined environment.As well as covering these three key areas, we focus on building fitness in lessons, whilst having fun.
Besides teaching you to defend yourself, practicing Karate has much more to offer, such as:

TRAINING DETAILS

FRIDAY EVENING
6:15 pm - 6:45 pm - Beginners
6:45 pm - 7:30 pm - Blue belts up to Green belts
7:30 pm - 8:15 pm - Purple belts and Above
8:15 pm: Brown and White belts and Above
In addition to the above classes, Grading are held regularly throughout the year, where students take an exam to achieve their next grade. For many young students this promotes self-confidence and a sense of achievement and motivation.
Additionally, students can participate in courses and take part in an annual TISKA National Competition, giving students the opportunity to demonstrate the skills they have learnt and developed through their training.
NEW beginners classes are scheduled throughout the year and we take children on from the age of 4 onward. We always offer a FIRST FREE INTRODUCTORY CLASS and both children and adults are welcome.
