Tokushinkai Karate Club

Welcome to Tokushinkai Karate Club, a Shotokan Karate club based at the Open University in Milton Keynes.

Classes are taught by Sensei Chris Gillies (5th Dan) following the guidance and philosophy of the late, world renowned Japanese Karate Master, Soke Hirokazu Kanazawa (10th Dan). A member of SKKIF and affiliated to the OU Martial Arts Club, the club has a history spanning more than 20 years, beginning in Olney in 1991 before relocating to Milton Keynes and the Open University in 2011.

We welcome students of all ages and abilities from all walks of life, and encourage you to come along and find out for yourself just how rewarding Karate can be. For us Karate is not a sport, it is a way of life that embodies the teachings, guidance and philosophy of one the greatest Karate masters to have ever lived.
