I have been fortunate in having been nvited to train at the White Horse Budo on several occasions. The club is first class friendly and a lucky find. Sensei Richard combines his years of martial arts experience and skills with charisma and humour to provide the highest level of instruction available.

Would strongly recommend White Horse Budo to anybody for the depth of their collective experience and quality of their practice. While the dojo may have seen better days, I would advise people to look beyond that to the high standard of tuition that they will receive. I have over 20 years experience of aikido elsewhere and these guys, in my opinion, are some of the best around.

What is important in learning a Budo is the quality and integrity of the tuition and the lineage and validity of the techniques. I have know Richard Blackwell sensei many years and have learned much from him on Aikido & jujtusu courses. The Dojo is admitedly somewhat dilapidated but non the worse for that. What happens on the mat is all that is important. I would be very happy if I lived near enough to practise their regularly.
