Shaolin Mizong kung fu and Yang Tai Chi have been taught in China at Zhen Wei Academy since 5th generation Master Lu Zhenduo launched the classes in 1922. In 1999, his son and inheritor 6th generation Master Lu Jun Hai successfully transported Zhen Wei Academy to the UK.
At Zhen Wei Academy Basildon Essex we teach traditional and the authentic Chinese martial arts of Mizong kung fu and Yang Tai Chi as used on the tough streets of Shanghai. Classes are taught by 7th generation disciple Gary Matthews, 4 x British champion, 5 x world champion, Coach level 2, PTLLS level 3, Hatha Yoga teacher Diploma, kinesiology flexibility instructor, Reiki master/teacher, Member of the British Council for Chinese Martial Arts.
