Devon Wado-Ryu Karate-Do Kai was established in 1984 by the late Sensei T. Takamizawa 7th Dan Kyoshi Shihan and Sensei Peter Hill 6th Dan. Devon Wado-Ryu Karate-Do Kai are full and founder members of the Wado-Ryu Karate-Do Academy whose chief instructor is the world renowed Sensei M.Shiomitsu 9th Dan Hanshi Shihan. Devon Wado-Ryu Karate-Do Kai have been granted by Shiomitsu Sensei the status of an independant association and are through the Wado-Ryu Karate-Do Academy members of the Wado-Ryu Karate-Do Renmei, Japan headed by Sensei H.Ohtsuka II 10th Dan Saiko Shihan, the English Karate Federation and the World Karate Federation.
