after attending as a complete newbie to any martial arts/self defence classes i have been highly welcomed & have been involved with kairos now for around 6 months, top tuition taught in a most professional manner, also made some great friends on the way also, what you, ll learn here is the stuff that really works if you happen to end up needing to defend yourself along with learning how to deal with adrenaline fear etc, we also dont prance around making silly noises either

Simon is an excellent instructor who has take the time and energies to keep himself up to date and he presents this in a friendly no-nonsense nature.
Classes are fun and informative.
I have had the pleasure in training with Simon on a number of occasions and have had the pleasure of him teaching my own students.

Walk in to the club known as Kairos, & you see all kinds of people (experienced, newbies, tall, short, thin, fat) all training hard & enjoying themselves! The atmosphere is one of friendly, supportive training. Simon's knowledge of Krav Mag, Keysi Fighting Method & other martial arts is outstanding - as his ability to pass on his knowledge to all the Kairos members, Don't fall for the untruths posted as reviews - call in & have a look yourself. Have a free session. Talk with the students. Chat with Simon. Ask about the contract - oh, there isn't a contract! Yes, no contract - you can either pay per session, or by direct debit - which can be cancelled at any time with no penalty.
As for the martial art - all totally appropriate for the street. If it works- it's in, if it's just for show- it's out. I've trained with Simon for some years - my speed, reactions & skill level have all gone through the roof + I've now developed a love of cardio!
Simon is the real deal - a well respected martial artist who has a social conscience, & puts his students at the heart of the club. You won't get better then this.
I look forward to training with you.

Great coach who is intelligent, skilful and most importantly takes the time to help everyone develop. Great ethics and atmosphere with a welcoming non judgemental group of people.
Simon the coach has awesome skills and doesn't use or need macho ego to impress. This isn't a rehashed franchise or an insecure fading independent, this is a great club, the real deal.
I've trained with Simon for nearly a decade now and can say with certainty that his brand of coaching combined with his knowledge is genuine and effective.
He also worked with my son from an early age who is disabled and was very shy. Training with Simon was fun for him, he grew in confidence and ability and it made the inevitable runs in at school so much easier when they came. Throughly recommended and great value for money.

I joined Kairos a little over six months ago and can honestly say from the second I plucked up the courage to walk through their door I was immediately made to feel welcome by Simon and my future classmates. I had always struggled with group interaction and social situations but the progress I have made, not to mention my new friends has transformed my outlook and helped me to face my anxieties head on. My only regret is I didn't join sooner. I could never repay Simon and Wendy for everything they have done for me physically and mentally.

We tried a few other clubs before my children joined kairos, Simon and his team are friendly and encourage students rather than shout and scream like some clubs, my son was badly bullied at his last school and it was hard to get him back to being himself but with the help of Simon and Wendy and the team he's back better than ever and he's ready first and pestering wanting to go to class, my youngest daughter can not wait to start training with Simon and the team she watches with an eager eye, I'm writing this review and I'm not doing the class justice your best of seeing it first hand

Simon, Wendy and the guys are one of the best families I have ever met. They are truly beautiful people. They teach with such passion and make it possible for everybody to be part of the Kairos family. These guys have given my children so much more than just MMA, they've given them someone to talk to when they may not feel at there best or if somethings bothering them. They've given them the opportunity to show that people of all different backgrounds can come together and have the best time. All whilst learning about a great sport, self defence and how to make there worlds a little bit safer. I cannot recommend this place enough. Relaxed and friendly service with a kick ass confidence boost. Absolutely love everybody here.

Couldn't recommend highly enough, very professional, very welcoming, accepts one and all. The coach really knows his stuff, Simon is not just a great coach but also a top bloke! I've been training with him for some years now & wouldn't go anywhere else. Great for both adults & kids.

I’ve been training at Kairos for almost 2 years and my progress not only in my training but also my emotional state has increased dramatically. The classes at Kairos are full of genuine people who create a warm, welcoming reception to any newcomer, be that an experienced martial artist or a complete beginner. The skills taught at Kairos are effective and taught in a way that allows everyone to pick them up. I would 100% recommend Kairos to anyone looking for a martial arts school, if you come to Kairos you’ll be greeted with nothing but friendly faces and a good laugh along the way.

I had the pleasure of training under Chief Instructor Simon Fell at Kaizen, and was lucky enough to train with a number of his students there too. Simon was friendly, approachable and above all his instruction for the session was at the perfect level for all students to be able to follow. The system used by Kairos was methodical but effective. The students were all enthusiastic and supportive for those of a lower experience / grade without any of them having an overinflated ego. Overall I'd thoroughly recommend Kairos to both inexperienced people looking to start Martial arts or for those already on the MA path who want another string to their bow. My thanks to both Simon and Kelvin for their time and training patience

progress made by my boys is amazing both physically and emotionally. Simon and his young helper have enabled the boys to understand that flight and defence is most important rather than attck. Anyone wishing to work in a safe environment should join this school!

Simon is a great teacher, and one of life's genuine good guys, he looks after everyone who attends his classes and the atmosphere created is very refreshing for a martial arts club. No ego, no bs, just quality information and training given to everyone. The accusations he is unprofessional are just downright lies. I've known Simon a good few years now, and he takes his responsibilities as a tutor seriously and have never once witnessed anything unprofessional or untoward.
If you want quality training and fun whilst doing so, Kairos is the place to train.

The poor reviews in this thread are by a rival martial arts club. That alone should tell you everything. The poor reviews will stay as a reminder to how good we are, that we make rivals quiver in fear! Haha. We dont play games, sorry guys. Frankly, it’s just extremely weird, but the compliment is wonderful.
If any student ever has a bad experience, please do get in contact with Simon. His students genuinely mean the world to him, and we wouldn’t have anyone disappointed.
Kairos is a national award winning, community club. Simon teaches from the heart, drawing from his 20 years of experience. He has created a welcoming and inclusive environment of supportive individuals. The students are the soul of Kairos, warm, friendly and incredible friends. You won’t find a better bunch of people.
We hope to build a strong community, together. We also believe, so strongly, in unity in the arts. That’s how it should be.
Peace.

Come and try this awesome and unique martial arts school, got to be the best school in the area. Give it a go you won't regret it I've been training here for over 3 years.
I trained with Simon and the team at kairos for over a year I went in as a stranger knowing no one and was instantly made to feel welcome, nothing was rushed and everything was explained it was excellent tuition.
I was so impressed that I let my children train there and can honestly say they have come on leaps and bounds in fitness and confidence my youngest has just become old enough to join and can’t wait.
I can’t praise this place enough and always advocate that this is one of the best places to train but please see it for yourself you won’t be pressured to sign a contract or anything just honest training that works with a diverse group of people
