This small and friendly club in Cockermouth has a worldwide reputation for first rate instruction. The main instructor at the club – Iain Abernethy 6th Dan BCA & 6th Dan BKA – has been invited to teach in most European nations, Canada, the USA and Australia.
This class focuses on ‘old school’ karate using modern training methods. Training covers both grappling and striking and is carefully constructed to ensure safety and steady progression. This is not sport karate, but karate for self-protection and personal challenge.
