This Dojo is a real find! A great place to get fit learn self defence and they're very sociable too. It's a really great place all round.
Shorinji Kempo came to Japan in 1947 but started in India then across to the Shaolin temple in China. So it has had over 1000 years to evolve to it's present level of sophistication. It's a truly complete system with blocks, kicks, punches and strikes like all Kung fu and throws locks and pins similar to Ju jitsu or Aikido.
Shaolin/Shorinji kempo philosophy is also taught which is very beautiful and non-aggressive. There's also meditation and a healing system similar to Shiatsu.
This is very much a system for all as you can simply train to your fitness level and get really good over time. A real must try Martial Art for all!
