Hi thanks for finding my page! I'm Jon Purton the founder of Fit2FightUK Holistic Self Defence. I live in Cheltenham Gloucestershire and have self defence classes running in both Cheltenham and Evesham. I have a 20+ years of Martial Arts and Self Defence experience within multiple styles including, Tae Quon Do, Kickboxing, Traditional Ju Jutsu, Keysi Fighting Method (Instructor level) and S.P.E.A.R - Personal Defence Readiness. I take the best bits of all these styles and bring them into a friendly and passionate environment where we train to stay safe in a world where crime is increasing and police numbers are dropping. I bring this passion and ethos of staying safe in the modern world into my teaching, so everything we learn at Fit2FightUK: Holistic Self Defence is firmly grounded in reality. We train how to stay on the right side of the law, how to manage our emotions and skills to cope with Fear and overwhelming odds. This is where I think I differ from many other Self Defence coaches. I have qualifications in Life Coaching, Fear Management and NLP. I can help understand peoples relationship with fear and help them train their mind to react differently in a time of high stress. We know this training will have a profound positive impact on your everyday life.
I look at self defence in 3 ways Situational, Emotional and Physical. All of them are as important as each other and should be considered before during and after an attempted intimidation or violent encounter.
