Kirkby Ju-jitsu Club (KJJC / B.A.I)
Founded in 2005 by Sensei S. Dalley, Kirkby Ju-jitsu Club is a satellite club of the B.A.I in the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire areas. The martial art of Ju Jitsu originated in medieval Japan and incorporates kicks, punches, joint locks, throws and pins. Much emphasis is placed on understanding body mechanics to achieve maximum effect for minimum effort to enable you to overcome and control your assailant. Kobudo, the Japanese and Okinawan weapons art is also available under the tuition of Sensei R.C. Martin. Junior and Senior students are welcome with a specific syllabus for each age group available. The club is suitable for those aged 6 and over, regardless of any previous experience in the martial arts. - Jiu-Jitsu (Jujutsu/Jujitsu)
- Kobudo
Programs & Class Schedule
The KJJC runs its classes at the following times:-
Sun: 16:00–17:00 Mixed age group Class, Ju-jitsu and Kobudo, Renshi S. Dalley, Sensei R.C. Martin and Sensei D. Panting.
Sun: 17:00-17:30 Free additional training after the main class to work on Ju-jitsu basics and applications (Seniors Only: Age 16+). This runs according to coach availability and student uptake
The hub class, on a Sunday, remains situated at Festival Hall, Kirkby in Ashfield.
The class is for all ages above six years. All those interested are welcome to visit the class to speak with us or see or coaching methods prior to starting training.
