Shinseido Shorin Ryu is a practical martial art aimed at providing self-defence skills to its students. It is not a sport and can be practiced by adults of any age. As such there are no high or flashy kicks, nothing is done for show but for practical effectiveness.
Shinseido Shorin Ryu is based on the classical Karate traditions of Okinawa. Kata (forms) are the cornerstone of training but with the focus being on their application (bunkai) rather than their performance.
Shinseido Shorin Ryu is a very affordable martial art. Your first lesson is free. After that lessons cost £5 for 2 hours. There are no membership fees, no grading fees and no other unexpected costs.
