Reviews of Winsford Koshido-Ryu Karate

I took my little girl to this club because she was really keen to learn karate. On the first lesson she was put with a young girl, although a black belt. The young girl did not seem to come across enthusiastic at all. There was a real vibe between her and the senior instructor. We haven't been back since. We now do jujitsu in Winsford

This is an excellent karate club founded by the great Dave Warburton and now run by Sensei Emily & Sensei Kathryn. Dave's teaching ethics of hard work, dedication to your karate and respect have continued and flourished. I have two daughters (both 2nd dan with one hopefully about to become a 3rd dan) who have trained continually at the Middlewich & Winsford dojo's for well over 10 years and is somewhat perplexed by one of the review comments made previously. I have seen my daughters grow in confidence and aspire to be better and this has been supported and nurtured by Emily & Kathryn.

My Son has attended the Karate School now for nearly four years, in that time he has gone from hardly being able to do the warm up exercises to being a Black Belt! The Instruction given by Sensei Emily and Sensei Kathryn is second to none, they instill confidence and bring out the murturity of ALL there students while also making it a fun place to learn. It is a very clean, safe and well equipped place to learn the martial art.

Great club, great instructors, Karate is taught to a very high standard, my daughter absolutely enjoys every lesson.

I am Owen I am 7 years old. I have been going to this karate club for about 8 months. I am now a yellow belt tab. I really enjoy karate. I will never leave this club. Sensei Emily and Sensei Kathryn are really nice. they make us work hard but it is lots of fun too!!

I would highly recommend the Koshidu Ryu club to friends. Sensei Kathryn and Sensei Emily work hard and help all students attain their grades to a high standard and get a high number of cadets through their Dan grading at 10. My youngest is 7 and is already a purple belt. Keep up the good work

My son has been a student with this club for nearly 3 years. Sensei Emily & sensei Kathryn are brilliant with the children. My son has made brilliant progression and is much more confident due to attending these classes. We really couldn't ask for a better club. The sensei's can be strict and so they should be, they are also very approachable. I want my son to learn and this wouldn't happen if students were aloud to mess about. Their hard work speaks for itself when you see the progression the students make. All students seem very happy and it is a great club to be part of.

The club is run by two women who's focus is purely about money. The churn at the club is high and this is down to favouritism shown to family and special students. If you are looking for a proper karate club that teaches karate for its true meaning then this is definitely not the right place. Additional to the above. The facilities are very dirty and lack safety.

My son has attends karate at Woodford Lodge leisure centre and enjoys the lessons. I am very impressed with the fair but firm approach of the club. Individual support is available when required and the approach is very encouraging in terms of progression through the grades. My son has grown in confidence and benefits from the consistent approach displayed by the Trainers.

Both Sensei Kathryn and Sensei Emily do a fantastic job with the cadets and have helped to build confidence in both our girls
