Ving Tsun Bristol
Ving Tsun Bristol is an exclusive martial arts club in Bristol teaching Ving Tsun (Wing Chun) under the Philipp Bayer Lineage.
Our focus is on the scientific understanding of Ving Tsun as taught by Philipp Bayer’s instructor Wong Shun Leung. Wong Shun Leung was the most famous fighter of Grandmaster Yip Man’s students in Hong Kong. He was also mainly responsible for the martial art training of Bruce Lee.
The philosophy behind the VT system takes into account all aspects of fighting such as balance, simultaneous movement, timing and assertiveness. The system doesn’t require any acrobatic skill but purses a main aim to immobilise the enemy in a simple manner and end the fight in the most economic, direct and fastest way.

TRAINING
There are no exams, belts or graduations in Ving Tsun. We believe that we can be detected individually how the skills and competences of the student are improving and developing during the training.
THERE ARE THREE WEAPONLESS FORMS
1. Form: Siu Lim Tao (first idea)
SLT is a group of all the Ving-Tsun moves and is the basis for everything to follow.
2. Form: Chum Kiu
CK defines a series of ideas consisting of moves, turns, kicks and steps to defeat the enemy with simple tools.
3. Form: Biu Gee
You learn this form to escape from apparent hopeless situations. Amongst other things this form includes fighting strategies that allows you to protect yourself against multiple enemies.
