The Westhill Choi Kwang-Do school was started by Ms Anna Johnson on 12th January 1995 and was run by her until she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, USA to teach Choi Kwang-Do. Mr. Ronnie Simpson ran the school until Anna returned from the USA and when she retired from training, after her daughter’s birth, Mr. Simpson became the school owner. In late 1999 Mr. Simpson’s work commitments forced him to hand over the school to Westhill based Chief Instructors, Mr. Steve Longmire and Mrs. Violet Mackie, as joint school owners. Mrs. Violet Mackie took over sole ownership of the school on 1st November 2002.
