Winsford, Middlewich & Knutsford Koshido-Ryu Karate Clubs were founded by Sensei Dave Warburton 8th Dan in 1978 and are now run by Sensei Emily Waring 4th Dan & Sensei Kathryn King 4th Dan.
We are part of the Shukokai Shitoryu Karate Alliance and a member of the World Union of Karate-do Federations.
Our clubs run beginners and advanced classes for students wanting to learn this exciting sport. All club instructors are part of an ongoing instructor training program and are CRB checked.
The syllabus we teach is laid down and governed by the SKA part of WUKF. The syllabus follows the traditional principals of karate with a particular emphasis on technique.
In addition to learning to punch, block, kick and strike we cover a variety of other defences against attack such as strangulation, attacks with weapons etc.
Our clubs are a great way to keep fit, gain confidence, learn self defence and achieve something new.
We also have many families who train at our clubs. It’s a great way to have some fun family time keeping fit & keeping the children entertained!
